Vector Pattern in Adobe Illustrator
Recently, I developed a Skillshare course on how to create an Illustrative vector pattern using your colored pencil drawings. In the class we discuss end use, good places to gather reference materials, sketching out your motifs using pencils and colored pencils, tracing your work in Adobe Illustrator using the pen and pencil tools. The first video on Adobe Illustrator has a detailed lesson on how to use the pen tool. I also demonstrate how I assemble a repeat using my different motifs and how to change colors to achieve a different look.
