Welcome to my new Wix Blog!
Updated: May 3, 2018
I've spent the past couple of weeks redesigning my website, and overall it's been a pretty good experience. I had an HTML website before that I designed myself, wrote HTML code in Notepad ++, and arranged my content into tables. Well, it looked ok, but updating it was a challenge. After not looking at the Notepad code for months and months, the pages looked unfamiliar, the updating process was slow, and as a result, I didn't update my site very often.
I decided to use an e-commerce template from Wix, and I was amazed by the array of things you could add to your website easily: dynamic strips, galleries, sliders, and a lot of different and very useful apps. I really liked the dynamic strips that stretch the whole width of your screen. I think overall, my website looks more professional. I've also redesigned my logo. I love the intertwining koi fish - it is also the main motif of the first wallpaper I designed. I was using part of that design (kind of lazily) as my logo, but it wasn't really a standalone logo. The koi is the symbol of perseverance and overcoming adversity in Japanese culture, so I like that concept. Let me know what you think!
